James Benjamin Alonzo Morris, Jimmy or Jim to those who knew him, was born on 18 April 1938 to Edna Morris née Scott and Christopher Morris. He was the husband of the late Jeanette Morris née Pollard, father of Jacqueline and Joanna, and grandfather of Dominic. He died on 9 July 2026, at the age of 88. His life is celebrated at St Crispin’s Anglican Church in Woodbrook, Port of Spain, on Tuesday 21 July 2026, and the photographs on this page tell their own story: a wedding on the church steps, decades of family, music, Carnival, and a man who never stopped dancing.
